Football training camps are underway as the National Football League prepares to begin the 2023-24 regular season. In Irvine, the Los Angeles Rams are continuing the annual tradition of holding the team’s training camp at Crawford Field at UC Irvine.

Coming off a dismal five win, 12 loss season in 2022-23, the Super Bowl LVI winning franchise looks to get back to championship status.

While fans will have to wait for the team’s quest for another championship to begin during its first regular season game on Sunday, Sept. 10, against the Seattle Seahawks, the LA Rams will be hosting open practices at UC Irvine through Tuesday, Aug. 8., and are inviting fans to come get a sneak peak of players in action.

On Monday, July 31, the team held its first practice of the year in full pads, during which some of the team’s most well-known superstars like Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp put on noteworthy performances in front of fans at Crawford Field.

As a thank you to Rams fan base in Irvine, the franchise will also be giving away special prizes and autograph opportunities for fans in attendance.  On Tuesday, Aug. 1, the Rams will celebrate military and first responders, and giveaway Rams Challenge Coins. Gates open at 3:15 p.m. Practice will begin at 4:25 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug. 3, the Rams will host Vamos Rams Day, with an opportunity for fans to get autographs from the team’s defensive line. There will also be a special performance by The Mariachi Rams at the Corona Beer Garden from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Fans will also receive a free Mariachi Towel and Vamos Rams Poster. Gates open at 3:15 p.m. Practice will begin at 4:25 p.m.

Open practices will also be held on Saturday, Aug. 5 and Sunday, Aug. 6 and the team will host its Countdown to Kick Off on Tuesday, Aug. 8, during which the team will host a 2023 Rams Calendar giveaway for those in attendance.
